LIFTONIC classes are suitable for everyone. Whether you are a complete beginner, or a weight training pro, LIFTONIC group exercise classes will challenge you. Our weight training instructors give weight range suggestions for each weight exercise. LIFTONIC classes have an emphasis on education and safety but are also inspiring and fun. Class sizes range from 10-25 participants. Each day of the week focuses on a different set of muscle groups which allows you to lift multiple days per week without burning out. Lifting heavy weights is the most efficient way to build muscle. Specifically, lifting a heavy weight to failure for 8-16 repetitions (45-60 sec). Lifting a lighter weight to failure can also give you results but why do 50-60 repetitions with a light weight when you can just lift heavier with fewer reps? Plus, there is something special about seeing yourself conquer a heavy weight you didn't think you could!
As you walk down the stairs into the dimly lit studio you hear the bass of the music. You set up your bench as the instructor welcomes you. The class begins as the instructors synched each repetition of each exercise to the beat of the music. You continue to push yourself to lift while the instructor motivates you to get through it. The cool down track comes on as you stretch and relax for a few minutes feeling good about what you’ve just achieved.
