LIFTONIC classes are suitable for everyone. Whether you are a complete beginner, or a weight training pro, LIFTONIC group exercise classes will challenge you. Our weight training instructors give weight range suggestions for each weight exercise. LIFTONIC classes have an emphasis on education and safety but are also inspiring and fun. Class sizes range from 10-25 participants. Each day of the week focuses on a different set of muscle groups which allows you to lift multiple days per week without burning out. Working out in a group fitness class is more motivating than doing it yourself. The energy you get from other like minded people who share your desires and goals is intoxicating. If you are looking for the motivation to start or maintain an exercise program, and you are located in lower manhattan, then join our community of Lifters!

LIFTING

Lifting heavy weights is the most efficient way to build muscle. Specifically, lifting a heavy weight to failure for 8-16 repetitions (45-60 sec). Lifting a lighter weight to failure can also give you results but why do 50-60 repetitions with a light weight when you can just lift heavier with fewer reps? Plus, there is something special about seeing yourself conquer a heavy weight you didn't think you could!

EXPERIENCE

As you walk down the stairs into the dimly lit studio you hear the bass of the music. You set up your bench as the instructor welcomes you. The class begins as the instructors synched each repetition of each exercise to the beat of the music. You continue to push yourself to lift while the instructor motivates you to get through it. The cool down track comes on as you stretch and relax for a few minutes feeling good about what you’ve just achieved.

Yes! Liftonic is designed for everyone! You can adjust your weight ranges or use no weights at all. Whatever makes you feel comfortable. All of our instructors are trained to help you pick weights that will make you feel in control yet heavy enough to get results.

How many days a week can I do LIFTONIC?

We recommend Lifting 4-5 times per week. In fact, our programming is created specifically with this in mind. We break up the muscles worked each day so you get the right balance between Lifting and recovery.

How do I stream Online LIFTONIC classes?

Its easy to set up your first LIFT. Simply select which class you'd like to take, purchase a class credit and complete the booking. You will be sent a link 30 min before class. Make sure sure you have a solid internet signal and enough space to workout.

What's the attire?

All you need to wear is comfortable work out clothing and athletic shoes!

Why lifting works?

LIFTing works because it keeps your muscle under tension for a considerable amount of time. We strive for 45-60 seconds per set actually. It's the perfect amount of time that your muscles need to rebuild stronger. Consistently challenging yourself by increasing your weights week to week further adds to this process resulting in increased strength, more muscle and fat loss.
